I. Furman, M.D. is the Founder of Qualified Billing and Collections, LLC. (QBC), a medical billing and collections company based in Los Angeles.
Prior to founding QBC, beginning in 1982, Dr. Furman ran his own medical practice in Los Angeles, specializing in industrial medicine with a concentration in the workers’ compensation industry. While there, Dr. Furman gained the majority of his experience in medical billing and collections while handling that responsibility for his own practice. As his expertise increased, Dr. Furman began offering his billing and collections services to other medical providers.
Dr. Furman graduated from medical school with honors in 1979. Dr. Furman was licensed to practice medicine in California in 1982.
Peter Yeh is the Co-COO of Qualified Billing and Collections and is currently responsible for corporate strategy and business development.
Mr. Yeh started his career as a management professional with Enterprise Holdings, named one of the best companies to launch a career, where he managed several locations in the Greater Los Angeles area.
Mr. Yeh graduated with his bachelor’s from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a double major in Business Economics/Accounting and Asian American Studies and received his M.B.A in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Loyola Marymount University. He is currently an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the LMU Entrepreneurship Society.
Thomas Baker is the Co-COO of Qualified Billing and Collections and is currently responsible for day-to-day operations, human resources and compliance.
Prior to joining QBC, Mr. Baker started his career as a management professional with Enterprise Holdings. He managed the largest locations in California and led the region in revenue growth, fleet growth, and customer satisfaction score.
Mr. Baker graduated with his bachelor’s from Western Illinois University with a double major in Political Science and International Relations. He participates in various non-profits such as United Way, When U Dream A Dream foundation, and JVS.
Jack Chao is the Vice-President of Client Relations. In 2014, he began his career at QBC and started the Client Relations Department. Mr. Chao currently manages the onboarding process of new clients.
Prior to QBC, Mr. Chao was a Territory Sales Manager at Philip Morris USA and later transitioned to JC Foodservice, Inc., one of the largest commercial foodservice equipment suppliers in California, where he quickly became a Senior Account Executive.
Mr. Chao graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2010.
Chris Hasenzahl is the Vice-President of Business Development responsible for identifying new ventures and business intelligence.
Prior to joining QBC, Mr. Hasenzahl started his career as a management professional with Enterprise Holdings where he became the youngest member of the regional management team. Considered a rising star, he led the region in multiple growth categories.
Mr. Hasenzahl graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics in 2009 and has his M.B.A from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management with a focus in corporate finance and a specialization in global management.
